GYSA CUP 2010 - TOURNAMENT
· Welcome coaches to our Annual GYSA Cup Tournament 2010. We would like to take this time to update you on some important information regarding the tournament.
· The U10 Jamboree Tournament will compete in a single weekend with a 3 game format. All players will receive a medal for participation.
· The U12 teams will compete in a single weekend with a 3 game format with the winner of each bracket playing a final game (4th game- Champions of each bracket will move on to champion round to be played on March 6). They will receive trophies.
· The U14 and up will play their first weekend of the tournament in a Round Robin style with winners of the brackets advancing onto the Quarter Finals (where applicable), Semi Finals and Finals. Each of the 1st and 2nd place winners will receive a trophy and the 3rd and 4th place teams (runner-ups of semi-final games) will receive a medal.
Mandatory Coach Meeting (CANCELLED) CHECK-IN OF TEAMS WILL BE AT THE FIELD 1 HR PRIOR TO THE 1ST GAME:

Required: All U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19 Coaches
All coaches are expected to bring Player Passes, Coaches Cards, both with picture & laminated and FOUR copies of the FYSA roster (receive from your Club Agent of Record /Registrar) you have been playing with all season, dated as of 12/31/09. Remember all rosters must have Birth Verified marked as YES in order for the child to play. Any questions please see (Club President or Commissioner).

- Referee Fees for U10’s were paid for at time of GYSA Cup registration. A check will be delivered and payable to each Host Site to cover the cost of ref fees. Referee Fee for each game $16.00 (Center ONLY).

Based on how you do in the first 3 games will determine whether or not you move on to the Quarter Finals, Semi-Finales and Finals. There will be wildcard spots, which are based on tie breaker factors. The GYSA committee will get together and review the results to determine who will advances to the next round of play. Teams moving on to Quarter Finals will still pay ½ the Referee fees for their games.

Coaches responsibilities:
1. Bring their half of the money to all U12, U14, U16 and U19 games.
2. U10 Coaches DO NOT need to bring money.
3. Coaches keep on hand an extra copy of your current updated roster at ALL games.
4. Coach’s cards must be present and laminated with pictures.
5. Only coaches with valid passes will be allowed on the field with the players. All other parents will be required to sit on the spectator’s side of the field. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!
Site Directors responsibilities:
1. Hosting sites of U10’s will distribute the medals upon completion of the 3rd game played per team. Remind each team. No medals will be given out prior to the 3rd game.
2. Hosting sites of U12’s will distribute medals to runners up.Champions of each bracket will move on to champion round. They will receive Trophies.
3. Site Directors of U14 and up - it is your responsibility to call the GYSA Cup Coordinator with the scores. This information is extremely important. Please call in your scores at 12:00pm and close of last game.
4. Make sure your cell phone is on you at all times.

Referees
Demetrios Papas will provide “Center Ref’s” for all U16,- play in round U19 and Quarter Final Centers playing throughout the games. Each Hosting Site is still responsible to provide lines for U16 and U19.
Demetrios Papas will assign the Center and A/R (lines) for the Semi-Finals and Final games.
Hosting site will provide “Referees” for games played by U10, U12, and U14 this includes the “Center” and “A/R (Lines)” for all games. See chart above.
