When does the recreational season start?
The season begins in November and runs through the end of February.
Practice starts around mid-October for the travel teams (U10 - U19) and late November for the younger teams (U6 & U8). Definition: U6 or U8 means under six age group or under 8 age group.
How much does it cost?
U8 - U19 age groups cost is $100.00 per child plus a $50.00 family fee.
U6 cost is $95.00 per child plus a $50.00 family fee.
Example: if you have two children ages 5 and 9 your cost would be $50 + $95 + $100 for a total of $245.
There are other fees also, like the concession buy-out, end of year trophy cost and the fundraiser buy-out if you opt to "Buy Out" of them. This means, not participating in the event and just paying the money we would have expected to raise from the event.

What is a Family Fee?
A family fee is used to help maintain the complex it goes directly to the complex and not the sport. There is one family fee per family per sport.
What information do I need to bring with me?
If your child has never played at SYAA or any other league before, you will need there birth certificate, a wallet sized picture (Head Shot) and your driver license.
If your child has played at SYAA or another league within the last year, you will need a wallet sized picture (Head Shot) and your driver license.
Please put your childs name on the back of the picture.
How old does my child have to be to play?
The player must be age 4 by August 1st.
Where are the games played?
Games are played at the Sports complex. Some older travel teams play other clubs in the area and will travel to local soccer complexes to play games as well as have home games.
When will the games be played?
Games are played on Saturdays for the travel teams and Thursdays and Saturdays for the younger teams.
When will we know the game schedule?
Schedules are out by the end of October and will be handed out by the coach.
When will we receive our uniform?
The coach will hand out the uniforms before the first game. Uniforms are included in the registration fee and consist of a jersey, shorts, and socks.
How will my child be placed on a team?
All teams are formed in by a blind draw based on age and experience. The only players guaranteed to play together are those of the coach, assistant coach, and sponsor. Please do not ask to be on the same team with a friend or for carpool purposes.
How To Be a Spectator and Role Model
- "Positive encouragement is good; negative comments are bad."
- "Cheering is good, but do not yell at your child or anyone else’s child during the game. It can be distracting & what you tell them may be different from what the coaches are saying. If you would like to be an assistant coach, please call me, I would love your help."
- "Be careful not to say anything that might be taken the wrong way or hurt someone’s feelings. Remember: this is for fun & these are children."
- "Be a good role model & a good sport."
- "Do not yell at the referees or say anything bad to or about the other team. Never boo the other team or cheer when they make a mistake."
